What it means#
The channel’s stream deleted events that the reader hadn’t handled yet, so the reader will never receive them.
What raises it#
The stream removed events from the range the reader hadn’t finished. The problem stays until the reader has passed the lost range.
What to check#
See each reader with how far it has come:
$ weikio get readers --env <environment> --integration <project>/<integration>List the events the stream still has after the lost ones, from the last sequence of the range the figure gives:
$ weikio events list <project>/<channel> --env <environment> --after events.<sequence> --order oldest --limit 20How to fix it#
Find out what the lost events carried, from their source system or from the publisher’s logs, and send what’s needed again from there. Then keep the reader from falling that far behind again, or give the environment’s events more room with weikio env set <environment> --events-bytes <size>.
